Employee Giving

At Bell Helicopter we give back. Our long legacy of corporate giving in our communities is one in which we can be proud. For many years our employees have made a tradition of making a difference in people’s lives through their time, talent and giving. Here are some examples of the major giving initiates we support each year.

March of Dimes

Partnering with the March of Dimes is something of a tradition for Bell Helicopter. After all, we’ve been supporting the organization for more than 35 years. In 2013, we continued that tradition and stepped up to support the fight for healthy babies – and raised more money than ever before!

In 2013 our President and CEO John Garrison led the local March of Dimes effort in Tarrant County and served as the March for Babies Chairman. Likewise, all of our major U.S. Bell Helicopter sites took the challenge and came together as One Bell to support all babies, both healthy and premature, and the effort paid off! All of our major locations raised more than a combined $280,000 for the cause. Bell Helicopter in Fort Worth finished as the No. 1 corporate team in Tarrant and Dallas counties and set a record with the most money for a corporate team in the history of Bell Helicopter and the Fort Worth chapter’s existence.

Each year, we continue the momentum for babies. After all, we are committed to supporting and strengthening the communities in which we live and work. That’s why we have and will continue to walk alongside colleagues, friends, and family with a goal of raising the money needed to help with efforts to significantly reduce premature births.

Fall Giving

Each fall, Bell Helicopter hosts multiple employee-led, giving campaigns among its many locations including Fort Worth, TX, Amarillo, TX, and Mirabel. To make it easy and convenient to donate, employees may choose to support one or more deserving charitable organizations of their choice in their local community through recurring payroll deduction elections.

Through these campaigns, millions of dollars have been donated by employees to our communities over the years. In fact, Bell Helicopter in Fort Worth has received the Cornerstone Award award from United Way for more than 10 years for dollars raised. Likewise, our Amarillo facility received the Breaking the Barriers award from United Way in 2012 for a significant increase in dollars raised.
We’re proud of our employees who make it a priority to help others and we’re committed to making it as easy and convenient for them as possible.

Holiday Efforts

Bell Helicopter employees are On a Mission each holiday season to support our neighbors in need across the nation. Over the past few years, employees have joined forces across our Bell Helicopter facilities and have hosted toy, food and gift drives during the month of December to brighten the holidays for families and children who may otherwise go without.
Among those initiatives include supporting organizations like the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Foundation, Salvation Army, 6 Stones Mission Network, and Moisson Laurentides. But our support doesn’t stop there, each year we transport Mr. and Mrs. Claus to meet and greet hundreds of children at local elementary schools in Fort Worth, while also visiting the Scottish Rite Hospital for Children in Dallas, Texas.

Employees Lending A Hand

Whether through volunteering or participating in local non-profit events, we are involved in our community – across the globe. Our employees, and their families, volunteer thousands of hours in our communities each year. And now we are more involved than ever, supporting many worthy causes, from veteran organizations to marching for babies – and setting records in the process!
